Navajo Sterling Silver & Morenci Turquoise Bracelet by Aaron Anderson, Navajo-Diné

$750.00

This handsome sterling silver tufa-cast cuff bracelet was handcrafted by Aaron Anderson, a respected Navajo-Diné silversmith from Gallup, New Mexico. Aaron is a third-generation artist known for his mastery of traditional tufa casting, often incorporating high-grade natural turquoise like this Morenci stone from the historic Arizona mine. The bracelet features a wide, substantial cuff with a dramatic tufa-cast surface. Overlaying this textured background are several smooth, raised wavy or flowing lines running parallel along the length of the cuff. These clean, organic curves contrast sharply with the rough tufa texture, creating visual movement and depth, like water or wind patterns across a rugged landscape. A single, rectangular Morenci turquoise cabochon is set prominently near the top/center. The stone is simply but elegantly bezel-set, letting its natural beauty stand out against the complex silver work without competing with it. The interior of the cuff is smoothly finished sterling silver for comfortable wear, with the open-back design allowing for easy sizing adjustments. This piece feels substantial and artistic—bold yet wearable, with the rough-meets-refined contrast that Aaron Anderson does so well. The tufa texture gives it an ancient, earthy quality, while the flowing lines and single turquoise accent add a contemporary, sculptural elegance.
