How To Sell Your Art
Chimayo Trading will purchase or consign quality pieces for our collection, specializing in the art of New Mexico:
Historic New Mexico painters such as Taos Society of Artists, Santa Fe School Los Cinco Pintores, and their contemporary successors. Native American painters such as Dorothy Dunn Santa Fe Indian School artists through the present.
We are also seeking high quality NM jewelry, historic and culturally significant sculpture, quality basketry and beadwork.
Native American art historic to the present, including Pueblo pottery, Navajo textiles, silver and turquoise jewelry etc.
Fine Rio Grande/Hispanic textiles, rugs and blankets, carvings and New Mexican furniture and antiquities.
We consider individual pieces or whole collections for purchase or consignment, determined on an individual basis to the best benefit of both parties.
Art evaluations are a courtesy to determine the value of pieces that are available for purchase only.
All correspondence is confidential and at no cost.
Please note that this evaluation is only for items that you are considering selling or consigning to our gallery, not from another source, or for authentication, nor for damaged or stolen items. We can refer you to one of several certified appraisers for reasons other than potential acquisition by Chimayo Trading.

To submit your art to us for consideration, email a clear image, including a close up of the signatures for both pottery and paintings (and an image of the back of the painting if it is important). Include the dimensions, condition and provenance if known.
Please include the following or we will be unable to evaluate your submission:
Dimensions – Include height and width – Paintings should be measured canvas size only from the back – do not include the frame.
Condition – Please note any damage or condition issues.
History – Include any important family or collection history.
Image – Please attach digital images or snail mail photographs of your piece to assure an accurate evaluation.
Pottery – include an image of any signature on the bottom.
Paintings – include a close up of the signature and an image of the back.
Information and photos may be sent via conventional mail (we do not return photographs so please retain a copy for yourself).
