โSummer Sanctuaryโ
Oil on canvas
30โณ x 30โณ
$7400
Born in 1956 in Moscow, Idaho, Teare first established himself as a successful illustrator in New York City, creating work for The New York Times and major book publishers. In the early 1990s, he stepped away from commercial work, moved to Providence, Utah, and committed himself fully to painting the landscapes of the American West.
โAutumn Sentinelโ
Oil on canvas
24โณ x 20โณ
$3200
Teareโs distinctive style centers on thick impasto technique. He layers oil paint generously as a master of the palette knife, creating canvases that are as much about physical presence as they are about image. His vibrant colors and energetic brushwork bring to life dramatic canyons, golden cottonwoods, aspen groves, desert vistas, and mountain scenes, particularly those of Utah and New Mexico. The result is work that feels alive, almost breathing, with the rugged spirit of the land itself.
โJoy Of Taos Skiesโ
Oil on canvas
12โณ x 36โณ
$4500
Drawing inspiration from early American modernists and the expressive power of painters like Birger Sandzรฉn and Van Gogh, Teare bridges tradition with a very personal, contemporary approach. His paintings invite viewers to not only see the West, but to feel its texture and light.
Art is energy. It moves people. It heals. Art communicates without words.
~Brad Teare
His works are regularly on display here at Chimayo Trading and have been well received by collectors who appreciate both technical skill and emotional authenticity.
โCouse Houseโ
