$2,800.00

Vintage Navajo sandcast sterling silver concho belt with Cerrillos turquoise, ca. 1940s.

Seven sterling silver conchos and buckle in a classic eight-petaled flower (concho daisy or blossom) motif with a hammered, textured surface that catches light. At the center of each flower sits a natural rare and culturally significant Cerrillos turquoise cabochon, oval or rounded, bezel-set securely in the silver. Cerrillos turquoise is highly valued due to its historical significance, as well as its unique color and quality. The stones display the signature Cerrillos character, sourced from the ancient mines near Los Cerrillos, NM along the Turquoise Trail, it’s among the oldest known turquoise deposits in North America and reflect genuine Southwest heritage.
