Navajo Sterling Silver & Royston Turquoise Ring by Orville Tsinnie (1943–2017), Navajo-Diné

$980.00

This is a bold, sculptural sterling silver and natural Royston turquoise ring by the late Navajo-Diné master silversmith Orville Tsinnie (1943–2017). The ring features a substantial, heavy-gauge sterling silver shank with a triple split shank design on the underside (three parallel silver bands that converge toward the stone). This creates a strong, architectural foundation while adding visual depth and weight, hallmarks of Tsinnie’s preference for durable, well-balanced construction. The top of the ring showcases a large, freeform cabochon of natural Royston turquoise (from the Royston mine in Nevada). The stone has a vibrant blue-green (robin’s-egg) color with characteristic golden-brown or rust-colored matrix inclusions and veining, giving it natural character and depth. It is smoothly polished with a gentle dome and set in a custom, hand-fabricated sterling silver bezel that follows the irregular shape of the turquoise closely.
