This striking Navajo silver necklace features a large, handcrafted statement pendant by renowned Navajo silversmith Tommy Singer (1940–2014), paired with a classic sterling silver Navajo pearl necklace.
The centerpiece is an ornate, shield or sunburst-style pendant made of heavy-gauge sterling silver. It displays intricate hand-stamping and repoussé work, with radiating lines, geometric patterns, and stylized motifs typical of traditional Navajo design. At the heart sits a beautiful natural Morenci turquoise cabochon — recognized for its vibrant blue-green color with characteristic dark matrix (often referred to as “spiderweb” or rich veining). The stone is set in a smooth bezel, allowing it to stand out dramatically against the detailed silverwork. The pendant hangs from a decorative bail with additional stamping, giving the piece excellent visual weight and presence. The necklace consists of uniformly sized and hand-stamped Navajo pearl beads.
This necklace would make a stunning addition to any Native American or Southwestern jewelry collection, equally at home in casual or formal settings. The combination of the large pendant and the substantial silver bead strand gives it excellent presence and balance.
