This is a handsome pre 1980s Navajo sterling silver coral cuff bracelet by the late Navajo-Diné master silversmith Orville Tsinnie (1943–2017). The bracelet is an open-ended hollow form cuff made from sterling silver. It has a smooth, polished, and slightly undulating or sculpted surface that catches light beautifully, with visible hammer marks or subtle texturing on the interior and edges for added character and weight. The silverwork is clean and substantial, typical of Tsinnie’s pieces, which often emphasize high-quality silver craftsmanship alongside the stones. The cuff appears wide enough to be a bold statement piece while remaining comfortable for wear.
The cabochons are bezel-set in sterling silver, with small, rounded silver accents (sometimes called “raindrops” or beads) placed between and around them for visual rhythm and to secure the settings. This creates a flowing, organic line that contrasts with the more geometric or stamped styles of some other Navajo artists. The design is elegant and understated, letting the bold color of the coral stand out against the bright silver.
Sterling silver and coral.
