Description
“Dark Horizon… I sought to capture the moment of transition central to our Diné Emergence story, the threshold where the previous worlds give way to the promise of the surface. Using a stark, striking interplay of cool depths and radiant warm tones, the canvas mirrors the deep uncertainty and awakening of stepping from shadow into light. This painting is a reflection on endurance, the weight of our ancestral journey, and the continuous emergence we experience in our own lives as we seek balance (Hózhó.)”
