André Hambourg, French Artist (1909-1999)
Hambourg was was born in Paris, where he studied and trained as an artist. After his first one man show in 1926, Hambourg’s work was shown in the Paris Salons. He is known for his interpretations of the Normandy coastlines and Venetian canals. One of France’s most honored artists, Hambourg was accomplished as a painter, printmaker, illustrator, ceramicist, and muralist.
