Dan Jackson

Dan Jackson (1944–2022) was an award-winning Navajo (Diné) silversmith from Jeddito, Arizona, of the Towering House Clan.
He began making jewelry in the early 1960s and became widely respected for his meticulous sterling silver overlay work featuring intricate Navajo rug patterns (often called “rug pattern etching” or “textile-inspired overlay”). Jackson’s jewelry has earned numerous awards at major shows including the Santa Fe Indian Market, Gallup Inter-Tribal Indian Ceremonial, Navajo Nation Fair, and others. His style bridges traditional Navajo heavy silverwork with contemporary interpretation, making his pieces highly collectible.
