Valerie Graves may well become the history of now. She lives and breathes and paints Taos: Taos Mountain, Taos Pueblo, day and night, landscapes wild and tame. Valerie Graves’ paintings contain a sense of light dancing, elemental and yet restrained. Hard to pin down, impossible to ignore, 3 works by the artist are on display now at Chimayo Trading.

Her career has spanned decades of awards, shows and acknowledgments. A joyous human being who loves the local wildlife and birds, horses and donkeys, Valerie contributes to networks that rescue and many good causes, giving of her artwork and her time. She is much beloved, and respected with a lasting positive impact on people and places and animals that she touches. We are all fortunate that she has found her forever home in Taos.
