The brilliant artwork of Reina will dazzle you with vivid colors and charm you with the scenes of Taos life, rivers, the skies and the storybook quality of her drawings.

Masterfully rendered in colored pencil, Reina creates strands of color bending toward the light. She blends the waxy prisms colors until they saturate the sturdy archival Stonehenge paper turning a green field into a field of chlorophyll, a white horse into an icon, a mountain into another realm.

Her colors are so alive that they jolt you awake to the inherent beauty of the natural world, through Reina’s eyes.

Adding Reina to the other Eleven artists we are celebrating this month, makes an even dozen. Expanding our space, expanding our vision, we at Chimayo Trading celebrate the past, the present and the new in regional fine art.
