Pabla Quezada

PABLITA “PABLA” TALAMONTES QUEZADA, born Sept. 7, 1981, is the daughter of Rito Talavera and the famous Lydia Quezada. She usually makes tall, naturally polished black pieces, often decorated with sculpted lilies, but has lately also formed sculpted trees and other designs. She speaks excellent English, learned from the Mormon school in Colonia Juarez. Pablita demonstrated her skills at a major ceramics exposition in Sao Paolo, Brazil in 2011, the first exhibition of Mata Ortiz pottery in South America. Later, she also demonstrated her skills in Paris and another city in France.
